This is a beautiful c 1955 Rolex Oyster Perpetual (Ref # 6565) Officially Certified Chronometer watch with the original ivory dial and Rolex Beads of Rice Braclet - all in very good condition. The Rolex cal 1030 automatic movement is running strong & keeping accurate time. The dial bears the Rolex crown at the 12:00 position and identifies the watch as "ROLEX | OYSTER PERPETUAL | OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER | T SWISS T". The reference number between the top lugs and on the inside case back is "6565". The serial number between the bottom lugs is "123519". The crown is signed with the Rolex crown. There are no markings on the back side of the case.The inside of the case back reads: "MONTRES ROLEX S.A. | GENEVA SWITZERLAND | PATENTED | STAINLESS STEEL | 6564 (crossed out) | IV.55 | I8 | 6565". The Rolex cal 1030 automatic movement is marked: "ROLEX PERPETUAL | PATENTED| MONTRES ROLEX S.A. GENEVA | ADJUSTED FIVE 5 POSITIONS AND TEMPERATURE | TWENTY FIVE 25 JEWELS" The movement serial number identified as "586392". This is a great example of the early 50's Rolex bubble back.
