RX-283: 1950's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Ref 6106 - Cal 645 Bubble Back Watch
This is a beautiful c 1952 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Officially Certified Chronometer watch with the original ivory colored dial (possibly refurbished) in very good condition. The Rolex cal 645 automatic movement is running strong & keeping accurate time. The dial bears the Rolex crown at the 12:00 position and identifies the watch as "ROLEX | OYSTER PERPETUAL | OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED CHRONOMETER | T SWISS T". The reference number between the top lugs is "6106". The serial number between the bottom lugs is "826080". The crown is signed: "ROLEX SUPER OYSTER". There are no markings on the back side of the case.The inside of the case back reads: "ROLEX | GENEVA | SWISS | PATENTED | 6107 (crossed out) | STAINLESS STEEL | 6106". The Rolex cal 645 automatic has 17 jewels (including the 2 rubies used in the auto winder). The movement and auto winder are marked: "ROLEX PERPETUAL CHRONOMETER | SWISS MADE | PATENTED| VIS TIRETTE TRIGGER SCREW | PATENTED SELFWINDING | 2 RUBY JEWELS" The movement serial number identified as "F72634". This is a great example of the early 50's Rolex bubble back.
